QRUMI / PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
The developer of QRumi values users’ privacy and the QR data they create. This policy explains how QRumi processes information.
1. Personal Information Collection
QRumi does not require registration or login, and the developer does not directly collect personal information such as names or email addresses.
Information entered to generate QR codes—including URLs, text, phone numbers, email addresses, contacts, and Wi-Fi information—is used solely to generate QR codes.
2. QR Data and Image Processing
QR content, design settings, and logo images are processed on the user’s device. QR data and logo images saved in the app library remain on the device and are not sent to the developer’s servers.
Personal or sensitive information entered into a QR code may appear in the resulting image. Review it before sharing or publicly displaying the QR code.
3. Photo Access Permission
QRumi may request photo access to select a logo for the center of a QR code or save generated QR images. The app accesses only images selected by the user and processes them on the device. Permissions can be changed at any time in device settings.
4. Advertising and Third-Party Services
QRumi may use Google AdMob in the release version. When ads are enabled, the Google Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform SDK may process advertising and app identifiers, IP addresses and approximate location, device and app information, ad interactions, diagnostics, and consent status for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and consent management.
Advertising information may be processed through Google’s global systems under Google’s policies and the user’s consent preferences. Where available, consent can be reviewed or changed in Settings → Ad Privacy Settings.
5. Local Settings and Data Retention
Some settings and saved QR information are stored on the device and are not transmitted to the developer’s servers. Users can remove them by deleting individual or all saved QR codes, resetting settings, uninstalling the app, or deleting app data. Images saved to Photos must be deleted there separately.
6. Information Sharing and Sale
The developer does not sell, rent, or disclose QR content or selected logo images. When advertising is enabled, the information in Section 4 may be processed by Google and its advertising partners under Google’s policies and the user’s consent.
7. Children’s Privacy
QRumi does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. Users under 14 should seek guidance from a parent or legal guardian before creating or sharing QR codes containing personal information.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when app features, advertising settings, or applicable laws change. Revisions and their effective date will be published on this page.
